How Do You Align With Your Seasons?, Maria Muñoz

There is so much more to the seasons of life than the rotation of weather. There’s your flow of energy, your celebrations, your growth of awareness. And they all have a bespoke place to where you are and how you bring contribution to this lifetime. Maria and I have an incredible conversation exploring what it means to align with your seasons and gain clarity in your energetic truth.

Intentional living is recognizing that we are becoming – that we’re always becoming. And that actually really helps you to put things in perspective when maybe you’re in a season that isn’t as lovely or as joyful, right? Last year I was in a season, and I am still processing grief. So, what does that look like? What did I need in that period? And being able to recognize that.

Maria is the founder of Light Owl Healing, and both are revered highly in the Seattle community. The practitioners at Light Owl support their clients through nutrition, movement, mindfulness, Reiki, hypnotherapy, herbalism, and so much more! But Maria is at the heart of it all as an energetic healer and intuitive medium. She uses her connection with the Great Spirit to guide her clients spiritually and energetically to their own form of healing and intuitive gifts.

When we think of seasons, we of course go to the seasons of Mother Earth – Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. Which is a beautiful and expansive place to start. But truly, when we look at the seasons of self, there’s so much more to explore, determine, and define for ourselves. In this episode, Maria and I explore this at length in this episode, but to help you get rooted in your authentic spiral, movement, and flow of seasons, here’s a list of some various pursuits you can follow.

It’s best to look at these possible routes with the idea of the evolution of you, and the growth of you, and what serves you best. And this list is not complete, it’s simply the beginning.

The Seasons – Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall

Business Quarters – Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4

Chapters of Life – the periods and experiences you’ve gone through

Zodiac – Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces

Elemental – Fire, Wind, Earth, Water

Ages in Decade Review – teens, 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s….

Moon Cycle – New, Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full, Waning Gibbous, Third Quarter, Waning Crescent

The Medicine Wheel -These are a very bespoke and spiritual practice rooted in First Nations culture. Feel free to use and regard this as a reference, but be considerate and mindful when actually practicing. Hold reverence for the culture, for the variations, and for the awareness that it brings us.

During a point in my conversation with Maria, I referenced this photo that I shared on Instagram. Oftentimes, I will look back on younger Brittany Marie’s with love, adoration, and a wishing of wanting to bring in some of those elements and feelings into my life today.

But here’s the thing, there’s no need to look back and wish things were different or that you were like the person you were before – because you still have her inside of you. She’s still within you. She’s still by your side and helping you step into the person you are becoming. All you have to do to bring what you adore out of younger you is invite them forward to step through you today.

And if there’s something you don’t like about who you were before, see if you can hold respect and awareness for that element of the past. Because it was what made you the beautiful person you are today. And you do not need to be alone in your journey of self. All of who you were before and all you will be in the future is with you today. Simply hold that mindfulness and consciousness and bring that forward.

Being in a season of reawakening – that’s a season itself. And it’s one you can step into consciously. Just as we explored above with the non-linear versions of you. If you feel inspired by the conversation within these episodes and within these texts, this itself can be a season that you engage in. Especially when we are looking at tuning into your sense of I.

Looking at the way you move and flow allows you to reclaim your power, your truth, and your alignment in this lifetime. Tuning into your seasons means to silence the voices around you and listen instead to the one that’s within you. We may look outwards for inspiration and clarity, but only our own essence, our sense of self, can determine what’s right, wrong, or aligned for us.

I implore you to go through the journaling questions and explore the truth that lies within you.

  • How do we align with our seasons?
  • What have been the chapters in your life?
  • How am I choosing to operate in this specific season?
  • How are you growing and how are you evolving?
  • How can you embrace getting older?
  • What seasons do you practice?
